5 Go-To October Events

While you would probably rather stay indoors and remain cozy under a fuzzy blanket with a cup of tea, now is the perfect time to explore the city before the weather starts to get frigid. Toronto is full of culture and activity, so get out there and enjoy!

Here are the top 5 Go-To Events this October:

OktoberFeast: (Oct. 14)

Unfortunately, we can’t all be in Germany to celebrate Oktoberfest, so instead we’ll do the next best thing—head to OktoberFeast in Toronto on Parliament Street at Airship37. Not only will there be a ton of yummy food, but the event is a fundraiser for the Canadian Cancer Society. While tickets are $25, go to fill your tummy, celebrate October, and warm your soul knowing that you are helping support cancer research.

Vegan Oktoberfest: (Oct.22)

Not into meat? How about Vegan Oktoberfest! This event is in support of the Toronto Vegetarian Food bank and includes a dance party with DJ Gudrun. Oh, and did I mention there will be endless vegan food options?

Halloween Haunt: (Oct. 7-31)

The month of October means Halloween season is upon us. And where better to go for Halloween than Canada’s Wonderland Halloween Haunt? Wonderland offers 15 terrifying nights every Friday-Sunday in October, with this year supposedly being bigger and better than any other. 20 Haunted House attractions including zombies, monsters, mazes and live shows will be present. This activity is definitely not for the faint of heart!

Art at the Power Plant: (Oct. 15)

From Nuit Blanche to the Power Plant Fall opening, October is all about art. On October 15th the Power Plant will host it’s Fall opening party. Be first to experience the three new exhibitions by artists Lafita Echakhch, Yto Barrada, and Maria Loboda. And guess what? This event is FREE!

Ultimate Chocolate Tour: (Oct. 8)

Are you a chocaholic? Because we are. This is our dream tour. Join Toronto’s ultimate chocolate tour starting October 8th until December 10th. The tour will take place around King, Queen and Dundas West where you will be able to enjoy chocolate from 6 different stores. See all you sweet tooths there.
